The River of Life
May 13, 2012 02:36 PM PDT
"Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on life? Come to me. Get away with me and you'll recover your life. I'll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly." -Matt 11:27-28 (The Message) Now on the final and most important day of the Feast, Jesus stood, and He cried in a loud voice, If any man is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink!
Now a river flowed out of Eden(pleasure) to water the garden; and from there it divided and became four rivers. The name of the first is Pishon(freely flowing, Increase); that surrounds the whole land Havilah, where there is gold. The gold of that land is good; the bdellium(pearls) and the onyx stone are there. The name of the second river is Gihon(valley of grace, bursting forth); this is the one surrounding the whole land of Cush. The name of the third river is Tigris(rapid); this is the one going east of Assyria. And the fourth river is the Euphrates (fruitfulness). Then the Lord God took the man and put him into the garden of Eden (pleasure) to cultivate it and keep it. -Genesis 2:10-15 Meanings of River names put together:

1 Corinthians 13 (The Message) The Way of Love If I speak with human eloquence and angelic ecstasy but don't love, I'm nothing but the creaking of a rusty gate. If I speak God's Word with power, revealing all his mysteries and making everything plain as day, and if I have faith that says to a mountain, "Jump," and it jumps, but I don't love, I'm nothing. If I give everything I own to the poor and even go to the stake to be burned as a martyr, but I don't love, I've gotten nowhere. So, no matter what I say, what I believe, and what I do, I'm bankrupt without love. Love never gives up.

It does our hearts good to remember what Jesus accomplished for us and the covenant of Grace we are now partaking of. Remind yourself of the depths of His Love for you, and the inheritance that is yours in Him. Rejoice in the reality of every good thing you have received through being made one with Him. It is through remembering Jesus that the Love of God refreshes us and the weight of the world is removed from our shoulders. We don't put our confidence in what we do to prove ourselves; we put or confidence in Christ, who has proved God's faithfulness to us. The world and religion will promote confidence in our outward performance in life, but we maintain that our confidence is inward. Our confidence is in the reality that Christ, our hope of glory lives in us and through us. "Realize whose children you are my brothers: we are not sons of the slave-mother, the law, but sons of the free mother; we are sons of Grace!

You are valuable, you are loved, and someone knows you even better than you know yourself. There is an image and likeness imprinted upon your being that is the basis of your value … a value beyond your wildest dreams. Coins used to have the face of the person who guaranteed their value, minted onto them. Any note or coin has a guarantor, a person or institution that guarantees its value. Even if a coin gets lost, the coin never loses it’s value. The one who invented and designed you, stamped you with His own image and likeness. He knows you better than you know yourself … He knew you even before you were born. You might not know Him, but He has always known you. You might not be aware of Him, but He has always had you on His mind. You might think ‘why’ … why would anyone have such an obsession with me. Well, the creator of this universe sees a value and a beauty in you beyond anything in this natural world. He even sees a possibility of romance! Radical Love- Part 3
April 08, 2012 11:55 AM PDT
This is the final message of the series "Radical Love", and it could not have come at a better time, Easter Sunday! I love that celebrating His death, burial, and resurrection is no longer just a day we call "Easter", but its now an everyday encounter we call "Life"! Romans 4:25 from the "Mirror Translation" says that, "Our sins resulted in his death; our righteousness resulted in his resurrection. (His resurrection is the receipt to our acquittal. This is one of the most important statements in the entire Bible. Why was Jesus handed over to die? Because of dia our sins. Why was he raised from the dead? Because dia we were justified! His resurrection reveals our righteousness! His cross=our sins; his resurrection=our innocence! If man was still guilty after Jesus died, his resurrection would neither be possible nor relevant! This explains Acts 10:28 and 2 Cor.5:14 and 16. See also Acts 17:31, "because God had fixed a day on which he would judge the world in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed, and of this he has given assurance to all men by raising him from the dead.") The "Wuest Translation" of 2 Corinthians 5:14-16 sums up this cosmic event beautifuly. It says, "For the love which Christ has [for me] presses on me from all sides, holding me to one end and prohibiting me from considering any other, wrapping itself around me in tenderness, giving me an impelling motive, having brought me to this conclusion, namely, that One died on behalf of all, therefore all died, and that He also died on behalf of all in order that those who are living no longer are living for themselves but for the One who died on their behalf and instead of them, and was raised. So that, as for us, from this particular time onward, not even one individual do we know as judged upon the basis of human standards." "You are raised together with Christ! Now pursue with persuasion the consequence of your co-inclusion in Christ. Relocate yourself mentally! Engage your thoughts with throne room realities; his resurrection co-raised you to the same position of authority, seated in the executive strength of God's right hand."- Colossians 3:1 (The Mirror) Radical Love- Part 2
April 01, 2012 05:52 PM PDT
Through one act of disobedience man became exceedingly sinful, but they did not know it until the law came to reveal it. Through one act of obedience man became exceedingly righteous, but they do not know it until the gospel (good news) reveals it. The Good News is that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself and succeeded in His mission. Colossians 1:26-28 (The Mirror) 1:26 This mystery was concealed for ages and generations but is now fully realised in our restored innocence before Him. 1:27 (God knows the mineral wealth that He deposited in the earth on man's behalf) in the same way He now eagerly anticipates the unveiling of the riches of the ultimate treasure in all the nations; which is Christ in you! The revelation of His indwelling fulfills His dream for you. 1:28 This is the essence and focus of our message; we awaken every man’s mind instructing every individual, bringing them into full enlightenment in order that we may exhibit the whole of mankind as perfect (without shortcoming and fully efficient) in Christ. "Instead of winning souls and making disciples, you should try loving people and making friends. People are not games that you can win, they are humans made in the image of God" -Ben Dunn

There are two ways to see things in this life. Either through the lenses of His reality that lead to Life and freedom, or through the lenses of the flesh which only see the external/temporal conditions that lead you into the bondage of the natural realm and it's circumstances. This teaching dives in deep to the heart of God and shows us how crucial it is to see things from His reality. Jesus came to give us life and life in aboundance! He came to free us from the bondage of our circumstances, and bring us into a life of radical rest, unimaginable freedom and ecstatic joy! Drink your fill oh lovers! James 1:2-4 (Mirror Translation) 1:2 Temptations come in different shapes, sizes and intervals, their intention is always to suck you into their energy field. However my brothers, your joy leads you out triumphantly. 1:3 Here is the secret: joy is not something you have to fake, it is the fruit of what your faith knows to be true about you! Knowing that the proof of your faith results in persuasion that remains constant in contradiction. 1:4 Just like a mother hen patiently broods over her eggs,) steadfastness provides you with a consistent environment, and so patience prevails and proves your perfection; how entirely whole you are and without any shortfall. Living In His Reality- Part 1

There are two ways to see things in this life. Either through the lenses of His reality that lead to Life and freedom, or through the lenses of the flesh which only see the external/temporal conditions that lead you into the bondage of the natural realm and it's circumstances. Romans 12:1-2 is one of the most quoted and popular verses in the entire bible. Because it is so popular, and preached on so often, it seems that people have become so familiar with it that it has lost it's true meaning and value. This teaching dives in deep to the heart of Romans 12:1-2 and reveals a fresh new insight and outlook on the verses. Sit back, relax, and dive in head first to the effortless rythems of Grace. There is no fear in Love, because His perfect Love casts out ALL fear. Let go and let Him Love you into the freedom of His glorious reality. Galatians 1:15-17 (Mirror Translation)
1:16 This is the heart of the gospel that I proclaim; it began with an unveiling of sonship in me, freeing me to announce the same sonship in the masses of non-Jewish people. I felt no immediate urgency to compare notes with those who were familiar with Christ from a mere historic point of view. 1:17 This is radical! I deliberately distanced myself from Jerusalem and the disciples of Jesus. I landed up in Arabia before I returned again to Damascus. (The weight of this revelation left me no choice; instead of finding out more about Christ in history, I desire to discover him more in me! Free To Just Be

The gospel is not an invitation to come and join a new club called "Christianity", but rather it's the radical proclomation of your inclusion in Him and His goodness and affections towards you. God does not love us more now that we are reconciled to Him; we are now free to realize how much He loved us all along. Jesus did not come to begin a new religious movement called Christianity, his mandate was to reveal and redeem the image and likeness of God in human form. Faith finds it's voice in something much closer to man than his most disciplined effort to obey the law; faith understands that Christ is no longer a distant promise neither is He reduced to a mere historic hero. He is mankind's righteousness now! -Romans 10:6 (The Mirror) Faith-righteousness announces that every definition of distance in time, space or hostility has been cancelled. Faith says, The Word is near you, it is as close to you as your voice and the conviction of your heart. We publicly announce this message because we are convinced that it belongs to every man. -Romans 10:8 (The Mirror) "The Spirit of God, the Master, is on me because God anointed me.

About Taylor ColeThe initiative of God, to restore man to Himself independent of any contribution of man is what we believe is the theme of the gospel. The proclamation of mankind's inclusion in Christ is the sole basis of faith. God does not love us more now that we are reconciled to Him; we are now free to realize how much He loved us all along. He loved us and included us in His life before the foundation of the world.
